Philodendron Strawberry Shake is a rare and stunning plant known for its colorful variegated leaves, ranging from green to shades of pink, red, and cream. Though a bit more demanding than some other philodendrons, it’s still manageable for plant enthusiasts with some experience and rewards you with gorgeous foliage.

• 💦 Water: Moderate

Philodendron Strawberry Shake prefers to be watered when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry, typically once a week. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, as the plant is sensitive to overwatering, which can lead to root rot.

During the winter months, reduce watering as the plant’s growth slows.

• ☀️ Light: Bright Indirect

This philodendron thrives in bright, indirect light, which helps maintain its vibrant variegation. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the colorful leaves, while too little light can cause the variegation to fade, resulting in more green leaves.

To preserve the balance of colors, place it where it gets plenty of bright but indirect light.

This plant requires regular pruning to maintain its vibrant variegation. Trim off any leaves that revert to mostly green to encourage new variegated growth. Removing leggy or damaged growth will also help the plant stay healthy and bushy.

Clean the leaves regularly to remove dust and enhance their vibrant colors. Providing a moss pole or support will encourage upward growth and larger leaves.
